#62 Patience

Believe it or not but being patient will renew your "mom energy".

If you find you (& your kids) in a situation that is somewhat frustrating (we all lose our patience at times) stop your thinking and see your children for the small, helpless people that they are.  Tell yourself that they are acting this way because "that is what two year olds do" or "this is something children must go through to learn - it is vital".  While some situations/behaviours are wearing on you, they become less so when you adopt the view that  "this" is simply a necessary part of our children's growth and learning.

In a nutshell, nomatter where you are - take a breath, squeeze your eyes shut for a few seconds, and with your arms dropped comfortably at your sides turn your hands softly up.  Grab yourself a zen moment as you realize your children are just being children.

Now.....EXHALE.

The place to improve the world is first in one's own heart and head and hands.
