Did you know that April is National Poetry Month?
In celebration, line up a poem or two, or three to read. Better yet, challenge yourself and read a poem a day or perhaps extend your creativity and pick up your feather pen and just let your imagination flow.
Any little poets in your home? Check out Young Poets Week running April 8 - 14, 2013.

Here is a poem I penned in honour of the new season:
Spring’s Child
Spring me forward to the
leaves
That whisper their words in
secret song,
Sprinkle me with the softness
of tears,
So light and warm, they fall
from the sky.
Laugh me silly with pure joy
of
Sunshine warmth and child’s
play,
Tuck me into a bed of tall
green grass,
Fresh clover, fields of hay.
On my forehead of this land
Plant a dewdrop kiss
goodnight,
Hush the winds, say your
prayers,
For peace, for love - return
of light.
