#34 Chocolate

This Easter Day remind yourself that there are some benefits to eating chocolate.

The healthiest chocolate to eat?  Dark chocolate.  The reason being is that it has the the most antioxidants.  Antioxidants protect you from heart disease, aging, and other illnesses.  Did you know that dark chocolate has 8 times the number of antioxidants than strawberries?  Aside from this shielding effect, it makes you feel better because it contains serotonin (acts as an anti-depressant) and it also stimulates your endorphin production.

While there are many a sweet tooth in our household, we find the holiday candies and chocolates last a very long time when parceled out over the week (or weeks).  By doing this, parcelling them out,  the sugar highs stays relatively low, and there is a lovely sweet treat for the kids when the time calls for one.

This year the Easter Bunny delivered to our children  a basket with cute bunny/chick sparkly cups;decorated egg cups of soft pastels of blue, pink, green, and purple; , and colouring books as well as a chocolate Easter Bunny.  This was much appreciated as we know they will find lots of yummy eggs at the community Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon!
